Othoceras Fossil

Othoceras are extinct mollusks that first appeared about 450-500 million years ago! Found in mostly warm, shallow seas, these mollsuks swam near the sea floor with its tentacled body pointing down and the shell rising above. The largest recorded species is up to 16 feet long! Othoceras later evolved to the nautilus, cuttlefish, squid and octopus. A really unique and rare decorative mineral, perfect for any science lover or rock hound!
